This map depicts the Story Family's Malta Ridge Home Site

Just left of the proposed railroad on the horizontal road (now Route 63) you will see a residence marked J.Story. This is the homestead of John Story and family, where James Storey grew up and departed from when he joined the army.

John Story was a soldier age 15 yrs whom fought the War of 1812 in Saratoga before settling down with Hannah Smith from Saratoga. John came from Massachusetts. I cannot locate where exactly John came from, nor what family Hannah belonged to. John may have been related to Lt. William Storey from Massachusetts.
